membru al uneia din cele mai vechi şi influente familii din Nürnberg, era bun prieten cu Dürer.
“Pentru Herr Hieronymus Holzschuher un corn extrem de mare” –
apare notat în jurnalul ţinut de Albrecht Dürer în timpul călătoriei pe care o face în 1521 în Ţările de Jos.
Probabil era vorba de un corn de băut, cum este cel din fotografia alăturată.
